Internet and technology have throughout the last couple of years become a major part of our society and it is slowly ruining our world, the real world. The way we interact with other humans has changed a lot due to the increase of technology in our every day, as we get distracted by social media and our phones all the time.
Benjamin Gordon expresses his thoughts about the development of social media in a blogpost on HuffPost. According to him is social media and technology ruining “everything”, as people nowadays have a need to document everything in terms of taking pictures of videos, instead of enjoying the unique moment and the people you are surrounded by and also a need to show other people on Snapchat my stories, that they are having fun. He also points out that it has elicited a lot more cyber bullying because people can hide behind their screens.
Also, Jessica Serra comments on how social media is ruining human quality. She believes that we are getting too affected by role models and Instagram influencers. Instead of showing the back of what it’s like to be a well-known person and what it costs they show the perfect life, which truly affects the world.
Technology and social media are developing all the time and we are getting affected more and more, but I am sure that we will keep using our brain to get new knowledge. The internet is not necessary a bad thing and it has given us a lot of tools, such as a much faster and easier way to communicate and it keeps developing.
